Hi there, today I want to share with you this thank you card I made using a free digi stamp from Motivet. I love the stamps at Motivet and the new collection is just adorable.
I particularly like the new Hilda in her beach chair with a cocktail in her hand. If you like cute and adorable animal stamps, i definitely recommend you go take a look. They are starting to add some people stamps too, so don't be turned off if animals aren't your thing. Unfortunately they don't currently send to Oz, but maybe we will have to change that!! Stay tune on that front........... however if you would like to get your own cute digi kitty to play with just click HERE to go to inspirational blog and down load the freebie from there. While you are there you should take a look around, the cards inspire me as I'm sure they will you too. Thanks for stopping by, have a great day, until next time keep on creating!
Cheers, Danielle xoxox
WOW! has it been 15 days since I last posted. Well I have been busy in my scrap room however most of what I have been doing has been for the group that I am in and because I know allot of you come and have a look at my blog, I don't want to ruin the surprise by posting what I have done here before you have received it.I did get to play around with my new Stampin' Up stamp set that got delivered on Saturday. This set is called Cottage Garden and is new in the May booklet. I love the saying and the butterfly is so elegant. There is also a couple of larger flowers in the set to. I simply stamped in Aubergine Versamark onto white card and then blended with Dried Marigold Distress Ink. I quite like the orange and purple colour scheme. The ribbon has an organza type sheen that gives off an orange tone that the scan doesn't really show very well. It ties the colours together nicely. I can see this set being pulled out a bit to add accents to my cards.
Untill next time have a great day.
Hello, I hope you had a lovely Mother's Day and got spoilt rotten by the ones you love. My Mum insisted I share her card I made her on my blog. She loves butterflies so i couldn't resist making her a card with one on it.I really like the difference the glass beads made to the layout, i have had these in my craft box for years, they are left over from when my daughter was dancing and i use to make her costumes for her. I might have to go through and see what other gems I can find to add to my cards.........are sequins to much?? I have tonnes of them.....hehehe
Anyway, there you go Mum as you requested, your card is out there for ALL to see.
Until next time........happy creating!
Hello, I don't know about you but I always have trouble coming up with boys cards especially if they are over the age of 5!! Today i have made a card for my nephew who is turning 13 this week.
I found this paper in my stash and decided to do something with it, as Rhys is ALWAYS playing some game, xbox, playstation, DS, he has the lot! You might not know but the little pictures are actually playstation controllers....OMG!
At first I was going to layer it on green card and then on white, but it didn't look quite right. Then i pulled some black out and it gave the depth i was looking for. The stamps are from Kassazz and I used the blue and green inks to draw your attention away from all the pink in the paper. I stamped the shield in black and added the number stickers (creative memories). After adding all the elements i still found the pink was really standing out so I grabbed my fine liner (black) and drew around all of the blue controllers. BINGO it was exactly what was needed. In hignsight I wish I had stitched around the paper in black cotton but overall, I'm happy with the result. :o)
Well here it is.......... the mother in laws card!
The paper is Honey Pie : Ella from the Cosmo Cricket range, again I have had this in my stash for ages and never really had the right card to use it on. I have matted that onto the pink cardstock. I then stamped the tea pot stamp from Stampin' up onto watercolour card so that I could colour it. I used distress inks and my aqua pen. This i mounted onto a pink scallop square that I cut using my nestabilities. To finish i added a strip of pink card and ran some ribbon across it. The hardest part was deciding what to add to the ribbon, bow, flower, bow, flower???? In the end the bow won and I added the Bella pearl to finish.
Happy with the result.........now I just hope the mother in law likes it!
Catch ya :o)
Goodmorning everyone, I hope you are as bright and cheery as I one this lovely Monday morning. Today is the first day of my new work week. As i posted last week a have cut down a day at work which means i now get an extra long weekend EVERY WEEK!!!!! YAY..... monday, tuesdays off and work only Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. How great is that. Apart from house work and catching up on appointments etc. i plan to spend most of that time creating.
Here is my latest offering, the papers i used are from the Unique It's All Romantic range, the image was gifted to me from my Mum and i used my trusty Pro markers to colour it. The flowers are from my stash and i just played around with them bunching them up untill I got the right look.......I made the buds on top of the tag by wrapping a green flower that i had cut up around ribbon that i folded in half....... I am quite pleased with the out come.
I really do need to start taking photos of my cards instead of scanning them. You can see the scanner has flattened my flower at the top a bit. Oh well...... put that thought in the future basket!!
Anyway off to make some mothers day cards, have a great day...I know i will.
Cheers Danielle :o)
