Sweetheart #74

 Hi Guys,
Another quick card for you this week.

I have made the Feeling Sketchy #74 sketch up using the very pretty 'Sweetheart' from Sans Designs. She has been coloured with my trusty Pro Markers. Isn't she sweet!
Here is the sketch.

Pop on over to the blog and play along with our challenge. Sorry for the short posts of late, craft is so low on my priority list ATM but I will keep trying. Happy card making.

Feeling Sketchy Blog Hop

Welcome to the Feeling Sketchy Design Team Christmas blog hop!

Hopefully you've found your way here from Debi's blog,

But if you've only started here then you might want to start back at Feeling Sketchy .

I'm so excited to share my cute Christmas decorations and box I have made using this months sponsor Image 'Santa with Star'

Here are some instruction on how to make these cute little Christmas decorations to hang on your tree.
First you will need to print out the Digi Stamp . I have put two images per 10.5x15cm card . I think six decorations makes a lovely gift box amount.

Next you will want to colour the images using your chosen medium. I love Pro Markers so I have coloured them with these. If you aren't as time poor as I am you might want to print some extras and fussy cut the star and hands, adding some dimensionals to pop it out.

Once you have your images all coloured up just the way you like them, cut them out. I have left the beard and the hat tail on but you could trim these off and double side the decoration like baubles. Next is to add ribbon to hang them. Simply staple ribbon in the position where you would like it.

These would make a great little gift to give to work friends or for that decoration swap you might be in. Of course you need a box to present them in so I've made one of those to.

Here are the measurement and instructions you will need. for a box that fits six deco's.

Take printed double sided card stock measuring 13 x 11.3cm
score @ 2cm and 11cm on the long side then 2cm and 9.3 cm on the short side. This will leave you with 2cm squares in the corners. Snip on side of this square to the score line only and place adhesive in each square, taking note of which pattern you would like on the outside of your box. Fold all score line then adhere corners in place so side stand up.
Next take window sheet or acetate and cut a strip 9cm x 21cm.
score @ 2, 9.5, 11.5 and 19 cm and fold. Using strong stick strip, adhere 2cm ends together.

Place Christmas decoration in box and slide acetate lid over. Tie a nice ribbon around box and you are done.

I hope you like my Christmas project I have made for you and don't forget
the fun doesn't stop here, the next blog to hop to is Sharyn's.

When all is done, be sure and check back with Feeling Sketchy at

for a wonderful giveaway on their blog.
 Happy Hopping!

Build your own Christmas for Feeling Sketchy

Hi Guys,
It is fast approaching that time of year again so I thought I would make a Christmas card with one of the great images from this months sponsor

The image I have used is called 'Build your own Christmas' and comes as you see it here but also with each element separated so you can cut and paste them where you want them and build your own image...hence the name!!

I have colour this fab image in with my Pro Markers and tried to get as much shine into it as I could. Unfortunately I am very time poor these day so I don't get time to play and practice with my markers as much as I would like. this has turned out pretty good though. The sentiment is one I have had for years from Kassazz.

Here is the sketch over at Feeling Sketchy that i followed:

As you can see I chose not to go with the optional challenge, bling just didn't suit this card. But you might like to have a go. Hope to see your card over at Feeling Sketchy.

Feeling Sketchy #72

Hi Guys,
I hope the team over at Feeling Sketchy are giving you plenty of inspiration to make some cards....I know I definitely need it!! Spending time in my scrap room just isn't very high on my priority list ATM so I apologise in advance for the very simple cards I have been turning out of late, although I do like the simple look too. I have used a glitter printed card stock that I have had in my stash forever and thought it matched up nicely with the new in colour from Stampin Up! called Baked Brown Sugar.

As you can see I have left this card very clean and simple but managed to get some twine in there in honour of our sponsor Whimsy Farm Twine.

This is a great sketch to play along with so please pop over to Feeling Sketchy and enter our challenge...there are always great prizes to be won and this month is no exception.

Spoil yourself today.......

Hi Guys,
This week the Design Team at Feeling Sketchy get to play with some awesome images from our sponsor

You can check out the store here .

I have used the adorable Bubble Bath Sassy on my card this week and I could not resist adding a cheeky shower curtain to the sketch layout. It just fitted in perfectly and what girl doesn't love a bubble bath and a little pampering!

Sassy was coloured in using my trusty Pro Markers, I have used my favourite skin tone colours of Blush, Dusty Pink and Coral. The bubbles have been given the sparkle treatment with twinkling like stars clear Spica pen but sadly it doesn't show up to well in the photo. Anyway, I hope you like my card this week and it inspires you to play along with the great sketch over at Feeling Sketchy.

Butterfly and Sunflowers for #68

Hi Guys,
Now that I am working full time and my daughter and I are busy doing Uni visits at the moment, my visits here are getting less and less, however, I still like to know that you have come to visit my blog and see my Art 4U. This week is another image from our great Sponsor Eureka Stamps. the image I have used here is called Butterfly and Sunflower however as you can see I didn't go with the traditional Sunflower colour!

I coloured the image in with my trust ProMarkers.....I was missing them a bit, hadn't pulled them out in a while! All the papers are from Stampin' Up! although a retired set from a few years back. I can't quite remember the name of it but it was a page layout kit the included a couple of sheets of embellishments.

I have given the butterfly a bit of a 3D effect by cutting it out and sculpting the wings a little with my sculpting tool. If you don't have a special tool it is really easy to do by simply rubbing the back surface with a rounded object onto a mouse pad or similar soft surface. I find paint or makeup brushes often work well.

I hope you like my card and decide to come and play with us at Feeling Sketchy. Here is this weeks sketch:

Also go and check out the Stamps at Eureka Stamps......you never know you might be our monthly winner!

Happy creating until next time ....

Hi Guys,
I hope your creative juices are flowing and you a ready for another great sketch from the Feeling Sketchy Team.
This week, in honour of our generous sponsors, I have added some Bling to my card. I have used Stampin' Up!'s Crumb Cake and Soft Suede as my colour combo with a touch of the recently retired Bravo Burgundy in the sentiment. The background has been stamped with Flowering Flourishes in crumb cake with the embossed Fan Fare piece for accent. The flower I picked up from my local scrapbook shop some time ago.

This is a great sketch to work with so please join us and enter a card at Feeling Sketchy.

Here is my card:

I have used "Hannah' from Lucy Sunshine Stamps because she reminds me of the birthday girl. Again she has been coloured with my Pro Markers and I must say, for once I actually like the way her curly hair turned out. This is something I struggle to master!

Here is the sketch
